Choose a field type to set the values a field accepts and how it displays them. Formula, Relation, and Rollup require Clastly Pro; the other 11 types are free.

Choose from 14 field types

Field typeValues you enter or see
TextEnter text, such as an author’s name.
NumberEnter amounts or quantities. You can display currency, percentages, or values with units.
DateEnter a date. You can also set a time and end date. You can also get a reminder at the date and time you enter.
CheckboxTurn a value on or off.
Single SelectChoose one of the available options.
Multi SelectChoose multiple available options.
URLEnter a web page’s URL.
LocationAdd a location using a name or address search, the map, or your current location.
FileAttach photos, videos, PDFs, and other files. A field can hold multiple attachments.
Created TimeSee when the record was created.
Last Edited TimeSee when the record was updated.
FormulaCalculate a result from other field values using a formula. To learn how to write formulas, see Calculate values with a formula field.
RelationLink records in the same collection or another collection. To learn how to link records, see Link records with a relation.
RollupDisplay or summarize values from records linked through a relation. To set up a summary, see Summarize linked values with a rollup.

You can’t enter values directly in Created Time, Last Edited Time, Formula, or Rollup fields. Set a relation by choosing records to link.

Change an existing field’s type

Change existing fields in the collection editor. Relations have restrictions on type changes. For steps and how original values are handled, see Change a field type or delete a field.
