Date field reminders don't arrive

Updated:

If a normal notification doesn’t arrive after a record’s date, or an urgent reminder’s alarm doesn’t sound, check the device where you set the reminder, its date and time, and permissions.

Reminders are set per device. You can’t set one without notification permission, for a past date and time, or after reaching the pending reminder limit.

Option 1

Check the date and time on the receiving device

  1. Open the record on the iPhone or iPad where you want the reminder.
  2. Tap the date field’s Reminder button.
  3. Make sure Notify at is in the future and Reminder is set to Normal or Urgent.

Dates without a time trigger reminders at 9:00 AM on that day. If there is an end date, check Start and End separately.

Option 2

Check notification and alarm permissions

  1. Open Reminders from Settings at the bottom of the collection list and review permissions.
  2. If permission is missing, allow Clastly to use notifications or alarms in the Settings app.

Urgent reminders require iOS 26 or later or iPadOS 26 or later. They require alarm permission separately from normal notification permission.

Option 3

Check the pending reminder limit

  1. Under Reminders in Settings, review Pending Normal Notifications.
  2. If there are 64 normal reminders, change reminders on records you no longer need to None, then set the new reminder again.

Urgent reminders have a separate limit. If you reach it, turn off urgent reminders you no longer need.

Review reminder times on the receiving device and turn off reminders you no longer use.

If the problem continues, include your device, OS and Clastly versions, whether the reminder is normal or urgent, its date and time, and the message shown when contacting support.
