Privacy Policy

Clastly ("we", "our", or "the App") is designed for personal use without requiring any account registration. We do not store your personal data on our servers. This page explains what information is processed and why.

What Information We Collect and Why

For Website Visitors

Web Analytics (Cloudflare): We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. This service is privacy-focused: it does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not build profiles of visitors. Only aggregate data such as page views and referrer information is collected. No personal data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

For App Users

Camera, Microphone, Photo Library, and Files: Used to capture photos and audio, or select existing photos and files from your library, that you choose to save into your collection. Media stays on your device and may sync to your personal iCloud storage if enabled. No copies are kept on our servers.
Location: Used only to let you save places to your collection. When you search for places, your search queries are sent to Apple through MapKit. Location data you save is stored locally and in your personal iCloud storage if syncing is turned on.
Storage: Your collection data is stored locally and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud account. We cannot access or control iCloud-stored data.
Analytics (self-hosted Matomo): You can choose to send screen names, feature usage events, timestamps, device, OS, and an anonymous user identifier to a self-hosted Matomo instance that we operate (no third-party sharing). The anonymous identifier is automatically reset on each app launch to prevent cross-session tracking. You can change this setting at any time. This is the minimum we need to understand which features are useful and to prioritize improvements. We do not track the content of your collection—only which screens you open and which features you use.
Crash Reports and Usage Data (Apple): If you have enabled "Share iPhone Analytics" in your device settings, Apple may automatically collect crash reports, app performance data, and usage information when the app encounters errors or operates. This data is anonymized and aggregated before we can access it through Apple's App Store Connect. We use this information to identify and fix bugs, improve app stability, and understand how the app performs across different devices. You can control this collection through your device settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share iPhone Analytics).

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store:

Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other account identifiers
Passwords or authentication tokens (no account system exists)
Precise or coarse location history beyond what you explicitly save
The content of your collection

Data Storage and Security

Data you save stays on your device and may sync via Apple iCloud if you enable it.
We do not run servers to store your collection data.
Analytics data is transmitted over TLS to our self-hosted Matomo instance.

Your Choices and Controls

Grant or revoke camera, microphone, and location permissions at any time in your device settings.
Opt out of analytics in the app settings; opting out stops new analytics events from being sent.
Manage or delete your iCloud data through your Apple Account settings; deleting the app removes local data.

Children's Privacy

The app is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Features do not require accounts, ads, or tracking beyond the optional analytics described above.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in features or legal requirements. If updates are significant, we will provide notice within the app. Continued use of the app after changes take effect indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
