Combine Clastly actions in the Shortcuts app to automate adding records and changing field values.

## Choose an action

| Action | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| :ui[Add Record] | Adds a record to a collection. |
| :ui[Capture to Collection] | Adds a record from links, text, or files. |
| :ui[Create Field Value] | Creates a field value to pass to Add Record. |
| :ui[Set Field Value] | Changes a field value in an existing record. |
| :ui[Set Field Value in Record] | Finds a record by collection and title, then changes a field value. |
| :ui[Edit Record] | Displays a record's fields for editing. |
| :ui[Open Collection] | Opens a collection in Clastly. |
| :ui[Open Record] | Opens a record in Clastly. |
| :ui[Search All Records] | Opens Clastly's search screen for titles, field values, and notes. |
| :ui[Search Records] | Searches a specified collection by title or field values. |

## Choose values to pass to fields

Value types include text, numbers, dates, booleans, and options. Some fields, such as created time, last edited time, and formula results, can't be written to directly.

Pass the output of :ui[Create Field Value] to :ui[Add Record] to specify values when creating a record.

## Use Edit Record on different OS versions

:ui[Edit Record] displays a form on iOS 26 or later and iPadOS 26 or later. On earlier versions, it opens the record in Clastly.
